CREATIVE PRODUCER
Role Description
The Creative Producer position is an integral part of our small, high impact team. This role is well-suited to someone looking to expand their knowledge of video production and strategy, while flexing their project management and creative skills.
Primarily duties will revolve around setting up, organizing and managing multiple projects from beginning to end. This individual will oversee timelines and workflows to keep projects on track and moving forward. Communication with internal teams, clients, freelancers and vendors will flow through the producer to ensure successful collaboration and make sure information is delivered. This individual will also be a key member of the creative team, helping with concept development, content planning, proposal creation, workshops, scriptwriting and general creative problem solving.
This is a full-time, on-site role at our studio in Chicago, with occasional ability to work from home.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT:
• Develop written content including scriptwriting, strategy decks, agendas, video proposals, and other communications materials.
• Collaborate with internal team to develop smart concepts and write copy for videos/motion graphics
• Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative, sales, and marketing campaigns to enhance and grow the company’s brand
• Create marketing materials such as content for social media, webinars, emails and presentations
• Participate in strategy sessions with clients to help deliver creative concepts that deliver real impact
• Identify and recommend new and innovative creative ideas to support client’s strategic plans
PRODUCING:
• Scheduling & negotiating of contract labor for production & post-production roles as needed.
• Production Management, Line Producing, occasional assistant directing on set, as well as the ability to be flexible with roles on set and off.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
• Responsible for setting up, organizing and managing multiple projects from beginning to end in software systems including Asana, Slack, Google Drive & Dropbox
• Identify potential roadblocks related to resources and timelines, and adjust and revise timelines when needed
• Working with Associate Producer to schedule or delegate Client and Team meetings, taking meeting notes, creating agendas, decks and other supporting documents.
• Document & create workflow best practices & systems for all areas of video production.
Skills for Success in this Role
• The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in production, project management, and/or post-production environments
• Strong writing and editing skills, able to turn ambiguous direction into crisp, clear communications and deliverables
• A good voice for storytelling, how a story is crafted, and how it can impact an audience.
• Enjoy creating organizational processes and managing details of a project.
• Outstanding attention to detail, ability to prioritize, time management, and multitasking.
• Has the ability to receive internal and client feedback professionally and respond accordingly in a positive, productive and proactive way that produces excellent video content
• Interest in working on a small creative team, ability to be independent and collaborative depending on the project needs.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, ability to adapt to shifting timelines/priorities/needs, and finding constructive solutions to problems as a team player.
• Thrive in keeping current with tools & workflow best practices.
• Degree in Television, Film or Media Production or commensurate industry experience is required.
• Builds and sustains relationships with our clients (and our team!) with joy and enthusiasm. A responsibility everyone on our team fills!
• Candidates will be required to communicate with preferred project management tools (Slack, Asana, Dropbox, Google Suite).
• Knowledge and passion for Food & Beverage is a big plus.
• Intermediate marketing & online advertising experience is also a plus.
